Tours: Dead City with Cheetah Chrome (East Coast)

Dead City recently reunited after 14 years of apart. The band is set to play four east coast dates this month and are boasting a line up that features guitarists John “Pugs” Licitra (of Iron Cross and Love and Hatred) as well as the Dead Boys Cheetah Chrome. The band kicks things off this Thursday in Boston and will wrap up on Sunday at Brooklyn’s Unity Fest.

Dead City formed from the ashes of Connecticut hardcore band Lost Generation by vocalist Joe Dias and guitarist John Licitra. Chrome, who had appeared as part of Lost Generation’s 1991 10th anniversary tour, collaborated with Dias on 5 songs that ended up on Dead City’s debut The Dead Sessions. That record, only recently released, brought material from both lineups. The band’s lineup for the tour combines both eras, and will thus feature Dias, Chrome and Licitra along with drummer Kenny Cushen and bassist Sean Sheridan.

The band plans to play handfuls of shows on both coasts, performing a mix of Dead City and Dead Boys tracks. Licitra has indicated that the band will hit the studio (Cheetah included) this fall to work on a follow up record.
