Dance for Destruction (ex-Pipedown): “Lycanthrope”

Electro-punk act Dance for Destruction has debuted some music online.The band features former members of A-F record’s Pipedown and promises “female-fronted, politically charged hardcore-electro-punk-fury. ”

Pluto signs Spark Is A Diamond

Pluto Records has signed Philadelphia’s Spark Is A Diamond. The label describes the band as fusing punk, hardcore and “heavy dance beats” into a “style somewhere between Refused and Death From Above 1979.” The three piece, formed in 2006, features vocalist Alison Bellavance, guitarist/vocalist Matt Boylan, and drummer Joe Crawford.

The band has completed recording their debut full-length with producer Paul Leavitt (Circa Survive, The Bled). The album, titled Try This On For Size, will soon be mixed by Matt Bayles (The Blood Brothers, Mastodon) and released in May. It follows up an EP released on Emerald Moon Records.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare update released

Updates to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

  • Fixed server browser not showing all of the servers
  • The “hold [ ] to steady” sniper scope hint will only appear if you can use it
  • Fixed game not recognizing IWDs existing if they are all in fs_basepath and none are in the main/ folder
  • Made mod scripts able to change stats
  • Allow developer_script for mulitiplayer modding
  • Fixed map rotation errors with usermaps
  • Fixed minimap not showing up in the menu for usermaps
  • Mod tools will now work with other languages
