Paramore: “Decode”

Paramore have launched a stream of their new track, “Decode.” The song comes from the soundtrack to the upcoming film Twilight. Frontwoman Hayley Williams commented on the film:

Twilight is the first series of books I’ve ever read. I didn’t get into the Harry Potter series even though I love the movies. Twilight really caught my attention and held it. I’m really excited to see the book adapted to film and excited that our band gets to be a part of the phenomenon. I chose the title “Decode” because the song is about the building tension, awkwardness, anger and confusion between Bella and Edward. Bella’s is the only mind Edward can’t read and I feel like that’s a big part of the first book and one of the obstacles for them to overcome. It’s one added tension that makes the story even better.

The film is due in theatres November 21st. You can check out the song here.

Along with one other song from Paramore, the soundtrack is expected to include a remixed “Supermassive Black Hole” from Muse, and a song from Perry Farrell.

Aaron Fuller of Plan 9 (-2008)

Aaron Fuller, lead singer of the Misfits-inspired punk band Plan 9, died late on Monday night in San Francisco from a motorcycle accident. While traveling home, Fuller went off the side of an overpass then died on impact. The accident is still under investigation by police who are unsure of the exact cause.

The band made a statement today:

I keep calling people to make sure it’s for real and I’m not making some fucked-up mistake. If only… I know he was real happy with the new CD and was looking forward to doing gigs with us. Who knows what he would’ve done if he’d had the time. He was the type of person who could do whatever he set his mind to. Plan 9 was proof of that. He’d never been in a band before, or wanted to, for that matter. But he came in from day one and kicked it’s ass.

. Will we carry on ..? I think so. Aaron would have wanted it that way. It was a true honor to play with him and to know and ride with him.

Our deepest condolences to Aaron’s friends and family.
