Baroness has unveiled the title and artwork for their sophomore full-length. The album is dubbed Blue Record and is expected out October 13th on Relapse. You can check out that cover at the release page.
The band, who last issued The Red Album in 2007 — as well as last year’s EP compilation on Hyperrealist, First & Second — is currently out on the road with Clutch and Lionize.

Earth Crisis will be heading to Europe later this month on the Hell on Earth Tour. They’ll be joined by Neaera, Sworn Enemy, War from a Harlots Mouth, War of Ages, Waking the Cadaver and Thy Will Be Done.
Earth Crisis will be supporting their first post-reunion album, To the Death, released earlier this year on Century Media.

Joey Cape has announced via his MySpace blog that he has begun recording a new album, writing:
“Planning to record some of the songs I play live, Bad Astronaut, Lag Wagon. Also some new ones.”
The Bad Astronaut and Lagwagon frontman released his first solo full-length, Bridge, in 2008. That record is currently streaming at Cape’s Punknews.org page.
