The Damned Things (Fall Out Boy, Anthrax, ETID) post new music

The Damned Things have posted some new music. The band recently signed to Island Records and is a new project featuring Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley, Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley and Anthrax guitarists Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano. The band previously posted a lengthy bio which aimed to describe their sound as “ a heavy/classic-rock, blues-oriented, riff-based band while trying to stay away from what makes that sound generic and overplayed.

The Damned Things will make their debut with a show at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn in June. Afterwards the group will head over to Europe and hit the van for the Download Festival with Rage Against the Machine at Donington Park in the U.K. and more.

Sid Vicious’ shirt on sale for £10,000

The Telegraph is reporting that the swastika-emblazoned t-shirt worn by Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious is up for sale. The shirt, designed by manager and impresario Malcolm McLaren to stoke further controversy around the group, was worn by Vicious in the 1978 mockumentary The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle. The Telegraph has attached a price tag of £10,000 on the garment, although memorabilia dealer Helen Hall does not list a price in the listing.

Tours: Blacklist Royals touring with the Riot Before, Nothington

Blacklist Royals Nashville, TN’s Blacklist Royals will be on the road this summer with The Riot Before in June and Nothington in July and August with an appearance at Baltimore’s Insubordination Fest in between. More dates on the Nothington tour are to be announced so check back for those soon.

Last week the band released their video for “American Hearts.” The band’s new record Semper Liberi was was released last week as an LP and digital download via Paper and Plastick.

Tokyo Police Club: ‘Champ’

Tokyo Police Club This week Tokyo Police Club‘s new album Champ is streaming over at Exclaim. The Newmarket, Ontario band’s latest will be available on June 8th via Dine Alone Records and Mom + Pop Music. The 11 song collection follows up 2008’s Saddle Creek released Elephant Shell.
