Let Me Run working on new album

Let Me Run have posted a blog update as they work on their next album. They said this:

We finished out our tour with Rust Belt Lights about a month ago, and after relaxing for a little, and playing some fun shows (thank you Fake Problems, The Casting Out, and Samiam) we have gotten right into writing and demoing for our new record. So far we have 3 songs almost tracked completely, with about 10 more in the writing stage, and we couldn’t be more excited with the way things are turning out. I can’t tell you when you’ll hear these new tunes exactly, but we promise that we’re working our hardest to get a new record made and released as soon as we possibly can.

They released Broken Strings this year.

Punknews.org Presents The Fest 9: A Free Compilation (Volume 2)

As promised, here’s the second volume of the intelligently-named Punknews.org Presents The Fest 9: A Free Compilation. This volume completes the 46 track behemoth and contains previously unreleased music from 10-4 Eleanor, Big Eyes, Stolen Parts, Shores, Divided Heaven and WITCHES, along with recently released jams from Hanalei, Dead to Me, New Bruises, Banner Pilot, VRGNS and Grown Ups, among other soon-to-be favorites.

Each track comes tagged with the corresponding band’s Fest performance schedule (day, venue and time) as well as the cover art created by the wonderfully talented Liana Kangas.

The stream will be up right here momentarily (and it’ll start at track 24), but right now, you can download it for free here. Missed the first volume? Download that here.

Torche on Fox News

Former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee narrated a Fox News piece on Torche. The two part feature includes Huckabee’s introduction as well as an interview. As you might have guessed, the segment takes place during Red Eye, the late night program which previously hosted Danzig, GWAR and Fucked Up and not during Fox and Friends which hosted this guy or this guy.

Check out the segments here: Part 1 (with Mike Huckabee) and Part 2.
