Doom the Movie is in Production

Doom Scheduled to be in theaters Aug. 5 2005

When the home-computer game “DOOM” was first launched in 1993, no one could have forseen the legion of fans it would create and the mania surrounding its every new permutation.
Now, the game that made history is jumping from computer screens to the motion picture screen: get ready for Doom. Set countless years in the future and told in the hyper-kinetic, kamikaze style that made its gaming predecessor a global phenomenon, the science fiction action adventure Doom takes the viewer to the far corners of the galaxy with a fully-realized vision of a dark and disturbing future.

Doom will serve as the feature film directorial debut of Enda McCallion, and is based on the id Software and Activision video game “Doom 3”

Fake RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics Cards Hit the Market

“Power Color” RADEON 9550 Selling as RADEON 9600 PRO
Graphics cards maker Tul Corp. may face denunciation from customers and distributors as at least some graphics cards with the Power Color brand-name made by the company use different graphics processors than they should. The company denied that the boards were made at Tul Corp.s factories, which may mean that a third-party company made a number of fake graphics cards under with Power Color brand-name on the boxes.

Ford to offer Sirius radio in more cars

DETROIT–Ford Motor plans to announce on Monday that it will offer Sirius Satellite Radio in more of its cars and trucks and that it will begin installing the satellite radio systems at its factories for the first time.

Stern moves to satellite network radio

Shock jock Howard Stern is headed to satellite radio, where listeners will have to pay to listen to him.
Stern and Sirius Satellite Radio have announced a five-year deal beginning January 2006.
