I received email today from Blizzard about Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. It has gone gold and will be in stores June 29th, 2001.
"We are delighted that Diablo II: Lord of Destruction is complete, stated Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment president and co-founder, "We have worked very hard on increasing the gameplay and depth of Diablo II with this expansion and are quite proud of our accomplishments. With the addition of new character classes and areas to explore, we believe we have created a truly compelling product that will appeal to both avid Diablo players and novice gamers alike."
You can read the full press release at Blizzards website Here. |

Boom Boom and Boogie Chillin. You may not know these songs, but if you listen to rock, you should. They are the two biggest hits of one of the most influencial Blues guitarist of our time, John Lee Hooker. So many bands can trace their way back to him. He was one of the first bluesman to influence a generation outside the US including Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, and the openers for his European Tour in 1961, The Rolling Stones. On Tuesday, he passed away in his sleep from natural causes. Even at 83, he was still into rocking, having played his last show this past Saturday. If you want to know more about this legendary guitarist, visit Here and read about his incredible life. |

In part of a celebration for the launch of their "new and improved" website, Metallica are giving fans the chance to fill the shoes of Jason Newsted. For at least one night, anyway.

It looks like it is official! Tom Morello and the rest of the boys (minus zach of course) from Rage Against the Machine will be joined by none other than Soundgardens ex-frontman, Chris Cornell. Everything I have read claims the new sound will be more rock and less rap/fusion/metal. |

For about a year now, I have been an avid player of Counter-Strike. Counter-strike is one of Half-Lifes most popular mods, and for a reason. The game is fast paced, realistic and requires teamwork and strategy. However, just as all games have problems with hackers, CS is no exception. This game has been plagued with scripts and hacks since day one. The big problem is; These hacks are very simple to design and can be found almost anywhere on the net. The game used to be fun; but not anymore, now there are cheaters running rampant in servers. Hacks such as, "Wall Hacks" (makes walls see through) and "Aim-Bot" (aims for you by using special colored models) have turned it into a free for all. Luckily, not all games are so ruined. Many other Half-Life mods are cheat free (for the most part). The problem is, there arent nearly as many people playing thos games, so, you could find it hard to get a good game going. I had to write this, as I have been struck down by a cheaters bullet far too many times, and today was the day where I chose to speak out against it! |

All four original members of Black Sabbath are in the UK where they are currently writing and recording a new album. Meanwhile, Ozzys band is back in the USA recording the music for his next solo album. "No More Tours" Indeed! ::snicker::
Its great to see them actually colaborating on a new album. I will be excited to hear some of the new work. How about you? What do you think? |

I picked up the March (Hey, its a long boat ride from the UK.) issue of Kerrang! the other day and saw some highlights of the April Playboy Magazine interview of Metallica. The interview was done two months before Jason announced he was leaving the band. I believe it also sheds some light on why Jason actually left. In case you missed it, I would suggest finding a buddies issue that isnt sticky and ::gasp:: actually "READ" the Playboy interview. I know no one will ever believe you, but when Kerrang! said the only person to remain remotely diplomatic was Kirk Hammett, I thought everyone should know. |

In his first live appearance since leaving Metallica, Jason Newsted performs with the Moss Brothers. The Moss are comprised of 12 year old guitarist Reuben and 15 year old drummer Evan.
Hmmm... Maybe Newsted just wanted jam with more mature musicians, especially after dealing with 14 years of Lars.

Riots broke out at an Insane Clown Posse show in Kentucky after police received bomb threats. You know, I understand that not all music is for all people... but is there really a need for a bomb threat? I mean, if you dont like the music... dont listen. Its as simple as that. Too bad more people cant understand that simple fact. Cant we all just get along?
