Ozzfest is right around the corner and Erthdawg and myself are going to make the 4 hour trek to Dallas on July 5th. The lineup is incredible. Black Sabbath will headline with Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Crazytown and Zakk Wyldes solo band all taking the main stage. Disturbed is the featured act on the secondary stage with a lot of other great bands like Mudvayne, gODHEAD, Taproot, Systematic, Union Underground, Nonpoint and Spine Shank, joining up along the way. It is going to be a kick ass show. Read on to check out the complete tour dates and if you go before we do, make sure you tell us what to look forward too. |

We all know how important a "game" can be to someone. If they spend hours and hours playing, then it becomes a labor of love. When that labor of loves starts to influence things you do in real life, then it becomes an obsession. It is easy to imagine that person on the other end of the line as someone just like ourselves, going to school, working a crappy job or listening to our spouse/girlfriend complain because we spend more time with "it", when we should be spending more time with them.

Skahld sent this to me via long haul pigeon: "It finally happened, my new roommate, Emperor Crush, and I are slowly becoming friends. Things are loosening up and were starting to joke around with each other. But this little home movie will show you why you dont want to surprise an orc." |

Your in our world now! That’s what the ad said. Boy, did they mean it. Their world! They own it! Screw all of you, you stupid, moronic, shameless lemmings! They are EA.com and you will be assimilated. Oh wait, the Cyborg race was killed a few months back with the demise of Ultima Worlds Online: Origin. Nevermind! You will be…… Brainwashed? Nah! You will just get screwed again! YEA! That’s the ticket!
Now, where was I? Oh yea…. I started this story to tell you about EA.com and some of the "rumors" abound…..

Like Bombastika, I also have an addiction to EverQuest. I think Ill actually need professional therapy one day. But for now my therapy lies in multimedia.
During times of boredom or inspiration (sometimes one in the same), I set up a web cam, ordered pizza and Mello yellow, and made some EverQuest based movies.
The first 2 are like EQ meets the Real World. Emperor Crush (an orc from Crushbone) comes to stay with me for a few weeks. I plan to do more of these at some point, but I am camera shy. |

Well, Its not quite Ultima Online, and its definitely Not Ultima Worlds: Origins. Of course not, the suits at Electronic Arts cancelled it. But, it is definitely a worth while freeware project being put together by the guys at Peroxide.
Ultima I is a shareware recreation of the original Lord British, Richard Garriott game that started it all, Utima I. Lord British, himself, gave permission to recreate Utima as an entirely new game. Peroxide is recreating the game in 24/32 bit 3D color with MP3 sound. The screenshots I saw looked incredible for a free game. You can even download the alpha version of the interface and test it out. Jump on over to Peroxide and get the alpha version. Just make sure you drop back by and let us know what you think! |

I have been really down on Metallica for a long time now. It all stems from the second row seats I had to "And Justice for All..." in Oklahoma City way back in 1987. I was 15 then, and will always remember it as one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. I was less than 5 feet away from the newest member of the band, Jason Newstead.

Anyone drawing parallels between the new Marilyn Manson video for "The Fight Song" and the Columbine High School shootings is simply trying to create scandal, the oft-targeted rocker says.
"People will put into it what they want if it helps them sell newspapers or helps them write a headline," Manson told MTV News while attending the American Music Awards on Monday. "Theyre gonna want to turn it into something it isnt. Flack is my job."

I thought this was a fitting story to follow the "Could you imagine a world without music ?!?" post.

In the How Bizarre Category.....
A Perfect Circles debut album, Mer de Noms passed the strict music review board of the Chinese Government, becoming the first western rock album to win such approval in 3 years. Believe it or not, GnRs Use Your Illusion I and II were the last western rock albums to win such approval.
