Today, on the way to work, I was thinking about how much it sucked that ExtremeLan was not going to happen. I wondered what could have been done different. What would allow something like this to happen in Oklahoma? After all, this was the second major Lan party to cancel in the last year in Oklahoma. Then it occurred to me. All of the smaller Lan groups need to work together collectively to come up with a Lan they could all get behind.
Well, somebody out there must be inside my head and if I find out who you are, I’m going to hunt you down and…. Err…. Anyway, it seems a few of the local groups were already working on something like this. The website will be coming along soon, but the best information I can give is to check out the EdLan Group’s website for the current details on the 36 hour, 300 Man Lan. I hope this one makes it. Maybe with the Local groups pooling together, something really big can happen. Let’s hope ego’s, personalities and ulterior motives don’t spoil the occasion. After all, gamers just wanna have fun….!
