I have been a big fan of D&D Computer Role Playing Games (CRPG) for quite a while. Going all the way back to 1988, when I played the first D&D game, Pool of Radiance. From there I progressed to the first MMORPGs, Neverwinter Nights on AOL and Dark Sun Online on the old Total Entertainment Network (T.E.N.), all the way through some of my favorite games of all time, Biowares incredible Baldurs Gate series. What really amazed me was the number of games that have been released for D&D over the years. Check out the complete list by clicking Read more.... You might be surprised at how many there are. I bet you recognize a few and probably have even played a few. 1988 Pool of Radiance (SSI) Heroes of the Lance (SSI) 1989 Curse of the Azure Bonds (SSI) Hillsfar (SSI) Dragons of Flame (SSI) 1990 Secret of the Silver Blades (SSI) Champions of Krynn (SSI) War of the Lance (SSI) DragonStrike (SSI) Eye of the Beholder (SSI) 1991 Pools of Darkness (SSI) Gateway to the Savage Frontier (SSI) Death Knights of Krynn (SSI) Eye of the Beholder II: The Legend of Darkmoon (SSI) Shadow Sorcerer (SSI) Neverwinter Nights (SSI/AOL) 1992 Treasures of the Savage Frontier (SSI) The Dark Queen of Krynn (SSI) Spelljammer (SSI) 1993 Dark Sun: Shattered Lands (SSI) Dungeon Hack (SSI) Eye of the Beholder III (SSI) Fantasy Empires (SSI) Stronghold (SSI) Unlimited Adventures (SSI) 1994 Al-Qadim: The Genies Curse (SSI) Dark Sun 2: Wake of the Ravager (SSI) Menzoberranzan (SSI) Ravenloft: Strahds Possesion (SSI) 1995 DeathKeep (SSI) Ravenloft: Stone Prophet (SSI) 1996 Blood & Magic (Interplay) Birthright: The Gorgons Alliance (Sierra) 1997 Iron & Blood: Warriors of Ravenloft (Acclaim) 1998 Baldurs Gate (Interplay) Descent to Undermountain (Interplay) 1999 Baldurs Gate: Tales of the Swords Coast (Interplay) Planescape: Torment (Interplay) 2000 Baldurs Gate II Shadows of Amn (Interplay) Icewind Dale (Interplay) 2001 Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor (Ubisoft) Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter (Interplay) Baldurs Gate II: Throne of Bhaal (Interplay) 2002 Icewind Dale II (Interplay) Neverwinter Nights (Atari) 2003 Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Underentide (Atari) Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark (Atari) The Temple of Elemental Evil: A Greyhawk Adventure (Atari) And coming in 2005, D&D computer games will be forever changed with the MMORPG, Dungeons and Dragons Online and the RTS DragonShard. |
