Today, DICE released this Press Release announcing a new First Person Shooter based on their Brand. Interestingly enough, the game is being developed by DICE Canada, the same folks that brought us Battlefield Vietnam. Even more interesting, this new game is due in the Fall of this year. The short development time leads me to believe this will be an expansion for Battlefield 2 and not a new full blown game. Maybe a port of BF42 to the new engine? :-) In other Battlefield 2 news, it is being reported in a recent interview that DICE will indeed support Linux servers. Still no change on only Official EA servers supporting the ranking system. |
