Boom Boom and Boogie Chillin. You may not know these songs, but if you listen to rock, you should. They are the two biggest hits of one of the most influencial Blues guitarist of our time, John Lee Hooker. So many bands can trace their way back to him. He was one of the first bluesman to influence a generation outside the US including Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, and the openers for his European Tour in 1961, The Rolling Stones. On Tuesday, he passed away in his sleep from natural causes. Even at 83, he was still into rocking, having played his last show this past Saturday.
