Them Crooked Vultures begin work on second album

Them Crooked Vultures will soon be recording their second album. The band includes John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. The band spoke to BBC:

Some stuff we’ve worked on, but we’re gonna write pretty quickly and just put it down… we may be a year or so [away from completing the CD]. It will mainly be excess material from the first album, material we started and never finished because we had to go and play the stuff we already recorded!

The band released their previous, self-titled debut in 2009.

KISS video channel shut down for copyright infringement

After his hardline stance about copyright infringement, everyone should act surprised that his band, KISS, have been accused of the same. The band’s YouTube Channel has been removed due to “multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement.”

Presumably, Gene will make things easy and hand over his homes and cars.

D.R.U.G.S.: “If You Think This Song Is About You, It Probably Is”

Recent Decaydance signing D.R.U.G.S. have posted the first free download from their upcoming debut for the label. The band is fronted by Craig Owens, formerly of Chiodos and includes Underminded guitarist Nick Martin, From First To Last guitarist Matt Good, Matchbook Romance drummer Aaron Stern and Story Of The Year bassist Adam Russell.

Mightier Than Sword to release Cro-Mags “Age of Quarrel” on vinyl

Mightier Than Sword will be reissuing the Cro-Mags‘ iconic 1986 full length debut, The Age of Quarrel on vinyl. The album was originally released by Profile Records and reissuing in the 90s on Another Planet. The album will be pressed in 180g vinyl and be remastered with three previously unreleased demo tracks from that lineup of the band. The 180 gram vinyl will be pressed on the following colors: 100 solid black, 400 clear red/solid black swirl, and 500 clear red.

Original artwork will be used, along with a couple never used photos of the band from the era, and include a full-color gatefold jacket and full-color innersleeve. It is due out January 11, 2011.
