Final Go It Alone show details

Go It Alone Vancouver’s Go It Alone has announced details on their final show. The band will perform on Saturday, December 1st at North Vancouver’s Seylynn Hall alongside Verse, the First Step, Allegiance, In Stride and Shook Ones. A warm-up show is expected the day prior. The hardcore band announced their breakup this past summer.

Most recently, Go It Alone released Histories through Rivalry Records. The band’s discography also includes a self-released demo and Vancouver Gold 7″ in 2003, their debut full-length The Only Blood Between Us in 2005 and a split EP with Blue Monday in 2006.

Vagrant signs Murder by Death

Vagrant has signed Murder by Death. The signing is the latest in a series of signings of bands formerly of major labels including Saves The Day and Thrice.

The quartet’s fourth full-length, Red of Tooth and Claw was produced by Trina Shoemaker (QOTSA, Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop) at Dark Horse Studios in Tennessee and will be released in the early spring of 2008. The band released In Bocca al Lupo in 2006.

Tours: Be Your Own Pet

Be Your Own Pet will kick off a mini tour today in Warriors themed costume party in Washington, DC. The group will play a small handful of shows in the next few days with bands like Used To Be Women, Dirty on Purpose, Heartless Bastards and the Exit.

The Nashville band has been hard at work on the follow up to 2006’s Be Your Own Pet, released via Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace label. There’s no word on a release date yet.

Jerry Only takes the airwaves tonight

Sirius Satellite Radio’s Punk Channel (channel 29) will celebrate Halloween this evening by handing the reins over to Jerry Only of the Misfits. The devil locked bassist and current vocalist for the group will be on air from 12:00 AM until 1:00 AM EST playing his picks. The show repeats at 3:00 AM the same night.

The long running band, currently a trio consisting of bassist Jerry Only and drummer Robo backed by former Black Flag member Dez Cadena, are in the midst of a lengthy 30th Anniversary Tour. They play tonight in New York City with Japan’s Balzac.
