Friday Night Fights – Custom Maps Update

The stage is set, the playlist is complete and the time is this Friday, January 30th. All maps will be rotated all day, but the heavy action will start at 7pm CST. I tested a lot of great maps, but in the end, there can only be 5… this time around. Click Read More for the full playlist and skinny on the maps. Here is the playlist, along with a very quick description of the map. All maps can be downloaded from FilePlanet. I will also make them available for download directly from here, but it will be sometime near the middle of the week. You will need to have an account in order to download them.

Valley Of The Shadow – We played this map the last time. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. It was a fun map and I wanted to include it this time around to see how it plays with more people. One thing to note, the middle towns spawn paratroopers, but your chute is not deployed. Make sure you have it handy after spawning.

Argon Forest – This is a very small map. Think of it as Battle Axes little brother. Each side has a single plane and all 4 caputurable maps are so close, you could snipe with a medic from any one of the flags.

Battle For Korsun – This large map has a cool winter effect on all the vehicles. Add some graffiti on the tanks and a lot of room to maneuver, throw in a Battle of the Bulge feel and you have Battle For Korsun.

Hell In The Phillipines – Im not sure what to make of this map. It looks really interesting on the mini map. The battles should be intense in the middle bridge, but Im not sure what the island flag out by itself will bring. Another little brother map, but this time, its The Invasion of the Philippines.

Russian Country – All I can say is WOW! This map is big. I only made one note on this map and it was Cool. I hope that will be an accurate description of this map.

We have a 40 player server, so there is plenty of room for you to join. Download the maps and check them out. Just remember, its hard to determine how fun a map will be by yourself. Only playing with others will you truely get the feel for a map.
