The Draft’s busy summer

The Draft have revealed upcoming touring and recording plans. The band, currently on the road in Australia with Against Me!, will headline a few shows in New Zealand before heading home to the US. The band has plans to play some European festivals this summer, including the Reading and Leeds weekender and Belgium’s Pukkelpop. There will be club shows in between the festivals “if you don’t feel like shelling out $100 to get beer thrown on you by Tool fans.”

Following the European tour the band will return to the US for 3 weeks of shows ended at the Fest in Gainesville. Afterwards the band plans to hit the studio to record the follow up to 2006’s In a Million Pieces. Bassist Jason Black commented in his recent update that the new tracks at “fun as hell and definitely much more varied” than the band’s prior work.
