Tony Sly debuts solo material, outlines 2009 plans

No Use For A Name frontman Tony Sly has announced his intention to release a solo acoustic record and tour behind it in 2009. Quoth Mr. Sly:

Just a quick update, I’ve pretty much finished writing my album for my solo project and will release it in 2009. Im super stoked on it and hope you will be too! Prior to releasing it, I’ll be doing some west coast shows in March and will post the dates as soon as they become available.

You can check out some demos at Sly’s myspace page. This won’t be Sly’s first foray into solo music, having released a split acoustic record with Joey Cape in 2004. No Use For A Name released The Feel Good Record of the Year in 2008.
